Ecofill, Mondoturf's infill, is a factory-manufactured patented polyolefin-based granule that delivers the appropriate amount of shock absorption and energy return for optimal, natural-field-like athletic performance. It retains less heat than traditional black rubber granules, so it reduces the potential for athletic fatigue and dehydration and the need to water down fields prior to use. It's virtually odor free, even in hot, humid environments, and it's environmentally safe -- Ecofill is a thermoplastic compound, so unlike traditional infill granules, it is completely recyclable, which is an industry first Mondo’s goal is to ensure that the Mondo turf systems deliver the appropriate amount of shock absorption and energy return, the key elements in determining the feel and dynamic performance experienced on a natural football turf field. A new generation of fibers with no fibrillation, in association of new polymer, provides durability, performance, and playing characteristics similar to natural grass.
